Slow Train Operation through Fresh Green Maple Tunnel

The fresh maple leaves approaching the train windows shimmer in a vivid spring green as they catch the sunlight. The gently swaying green maples in the spring breeze bring a sense of life and vitality.

■Slow Train Operation through Fresh Green Maple Tunnel
This seasonal feature allows trains to run at a slower speed than usual through the lush “Green Maple Tunnel,” so passengers can take their time enjoying the fresh greenery of newly sprouting maple leaves.

 

Operation Period
April 17 (Fri) – May 31 (Sun), 2026 (daily)
Slow Speed Section
“Maple Tunnel” section (approx. 250 m) between Ichihara Station and Ninose Station on the Kurama Line
Applicable Trains
Both weekday and weekend/holiday schedules:
 Departing Demachiyanagi Station: 9:00–16:45 (bound for Kurama)
 Departing Kurama Station: 9:34–17:19* (bound for Demachiyanagi) (*17:20 on weekdays)

■Fresh Green Maple Light-Up
In conjunction with the “Fresh Green Light-Up” event held at Kifune Shrine, a special “Green Maple Light-Up” will also take place. Trains passing through this section will turn off their interior lights and run slowly to enhance the viewing experience.
